By downloading, installing, or using BiteCheck AI ("the App"), you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the App.

1. Critical Medical Disclaimer & Emergency Notice

IMPORTANT EMERGENCY NOTICE:

BiteCheck AI is NOT an emergency response system. If you or someone you are assisting is experiencing severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), difficulty breathing, facial or throat swelling, dizziness, or a suspected venomous snake or spider bite (such as a Black Widow or Brown Recluse with rapid systemic symptoms), CALL 911 (OR YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY NUMBER) IMMEDIATELY or proceed to the nearest emergency department.

BiteCheck AI is provided strictly for educational, informational, and triage tracking purposes. It does not provide medical diagnoses, clinical treatment plans, or prescriptive remedies. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions regarding skin lesions, tick bites, Lyme disease risks, or secondary infections.

2. Description of Services

BiteCheck AI provides users with:

  • Computer vision analysis of bug bite photos to estimate likely insect or arachnid species.
  • Triage severity categorizations (Mild, Moderate, Emergency).
  • Symptom tracking to log erythema expansion, warmth, and itching over time.
  • Offline field guides and first aid protocols for common outdoor biters.
  • Formatted case summary reports that users may share with their personal physicians.

3. In-App Subscriptions & Billing

  • Subscription Tiers: BiteCheck AI offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions: Weekly Pro ($4.99/week), Monthly Pro ($9.99/month), and Annual VIP ($49.99/year with a 3-day free trial).
  • Free Trial: The Annual VIP plan begins with a 3-day free trial. If not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to trial expiration, the annual fee will be charged to your Apple ID.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is disabled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Management & Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions anytime by going to your iOS Device Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
  • Refunds: All purchases and refunds are processed solely by Apple in accordance with Apple's standard App Store policies.

4. Intellectual Property & Limited License

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use BiteCheck AI on compatible iOS devices for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, duplicate, or extract the machine learning models, heuristics, or proprietary algorithms of the App.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, kreggscode and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App or reliance on its triage estimations.
